SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
LENDING A HAND TO STUDENTS IN NEED
Even though the pandemic has impacted school openings, ZELCOWA's Board decided to conduct our sixth annual School Supply Drive so that donors may take advantage of the summer sales.
Our mission is to help students in New Jersey, specifically in the Newark/Oranges area as well as the Atlantic City area. We have arranged for places to store the supplies until they are distributed so that students can have their items when they return to school.
We have also partnered with a group in the Newark /Orange area for a late August "Grab and Go" event where supplies will be placed in a string packpack to be distributed in a proper social distancing manner.
We respect the fact that people are hesitant about in-person shopping . If you are uncomfortable going into stores, you can support us by either a monetary donation (no amount is too small) or shopping online and sending the items to our address at 700-76 Broadway #317 in Westwood. ZELCOWA is also set up to receive donations via PAYPAL And FACEBOOK.
Because of the Pandemic, we have added masks and individual hand sanitizers to our list in addition to the pens, pencils, pencil holders, paper(wide and college ruled), crayons, markers, and binders.
ZION members have always been key to our success and we hope that they will be part of this year’s effort.
